Premise: A Duke’s son leads desert warriors against the galactic emperor and his father’s evil nemesis to free their desert world from the emperor’s rule.
The movie was intriguing enough to hold my attention but because it was set up for a sequel, I was more confused than satisfied. I think I would have enjoyed it if I had taken the time to review the cast and their characters before watching the movie. I didn’t recognize Sting, Virginia Madsen, Patrick Stewart, and a host of others. I don’t believe I recognized them because I was trying to figure out what the movie was about. To enjoy this movie you may need to read the book, then again, you still may have trouble figuring out what this is all about.
